Eminent Domain

Rent Supplement

Residential tenants as well as owner/occupants of properties may be eligible for rent supplement compensation, regardless of the length of time that they have owned/rented the property being seized by the eminent domain proceedings.

This form of compensation is designed to compensate an individual for any difference in renting a comparable property, based upon such factors as size of living area, number of rooms, number of bedrooms, age of the property, location, etc. Another key factor which plays a critical role in rent supplement compensation is the income of the household. Proof of income will be required for this form of compensation.

Residential owners/occupants who have resided in a property for at least 180 days must choose between the Rent Supplement, Replacement Housing Supplement, or a Down Payment Supplement.
