J.T. Herber, III
Although he practices primarily out of the firm’s Pottsville, Pine Grove and Orwigsburg offices in Schuylkill County, he often represents clients with respect to legal matters in numerous other counties throughout the region including Lebanon County, Berks County, Dauphin County, Northumberland County, Carbon County and Lehigh County.
Attorney Herber is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
He is the co-chair of Williamson, Friedberg & Jones, LLC’s Litigation Practice Group. Despite being the youngest partner in the Firm, he has achieved numerous six figure recoveries in personal injury/premises liability, real estate, and estate litigation. In addition, Attorney Herber has also achieved numerous defense victories, prevailing with respect to many cases by having them dismissed very early in litigation through the use of preliminary objections, or Motions for Summary Judgment.
J.T. is a 2000 graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, where he double majored in Government and Law / American Studies. He received his Juris Doctor in 2004 from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
While attending Wake Forest, J.T. was a member of both the law school’s Mock Trial Team, and Moot Court Team. As a Moot Court Team member, J.T. competed in international Moot Court competitions. In his third year of law school, he was the Student Coach of the Wake Forest University team that competed in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Outside of the practice of law, J.T. is also very active in the community. He is a volunteer firefighter with Hose Hook and Ladder Fire Company No. 1, where he serves as the Captain and Trustee. He is also the Vice President of the Pine Grove Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association, which provides funding to the fire department for training and equipment.
J.T. is also the Attorney Coach of the Pine Grove Area High School Mock Trial Team, and also regularly gives presentations to community groups as well as various school groups from the elementary to high school level.
