WF&J attorneys serve as advocates for the elderly, and are affiliated with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee and the Schuylkill County Elder Abuse Task Force. The firm’s Elder Law practice is dedicated to assisting older adults, as well as their families and caregivers in sorting through the difficult financial and healthcare issues facing individuals in their later years. Our practice includes the following services:
- Planning for disability, incapacity and end-of-life decision making through preparation of durable powers of attorney, wills, living wills, trusts and petitions for guardianships;
- Protection of assets through estate, inheritance tax planning and nursing home planning;
- Evaluation of income and assets to determine eligibility for private or public benefits including Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid/Medical Assistance, Supplement Social Security (SSI), PACE and PACENET;
- Probate and administration of estates and trusts of deceased individuals.
In addition, WF&J also has attorneys who focus on wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related issues. Please visit the Wills, Estates and Trusts page of this website for additional information.
